ImNotNarcissistic If you haven't read my novel then why did you just assume I didn't give any of that? There was foreshadowing and many hints. Plus, the whole point of death is that it's random and sudden which is why it's called the point of no return. The theme of the book was DEATH. So how can killing off a main character make no sense? It was needed at that time but readers were the ones who forced me to change it even after I killed him off. Please read the book before making any sort of judgement.
We're veteran writers here and we know what development is needed for our characters and also, when to kill them off if necessary. If the readers aren't ready for change then that's their issue. Constantly whining for new things but still preferring pitch perfect happy endings is just bs.
But what to do? That's what sells here. That's how we have to make money.
And now readers want more fp's. Like, why? It's bad enough that we are forced to conform to the general mindset for the readers so that they'll pay for the chapters and now complaining about fp's, not realizing that the more fp's wn gives out, the more authors will be discouraged from updating.
It's funny that readers can whine and complain about authors not giving them something fresh and also about lack of fp's without realizing that the authors are human beings too. Reading one chapter takes a few minutes but writing that chapter can take hours. Fp's already eat away hours of our effort and now that wn is trying to spread out the earnings for authors, readers complain again.
And you wonder why many authors left this platform.
