Feng Shao was lying on his bed staring in space. He felt upset with him. Lui Xian knew he had no home. But he had to say all that shit. Two of Feng Shao's homes have already been destroyed. So where did he want him to return to? To that little cabin in the middle of nowhere? It was obvious that he was the same as someone who didn't have a home, to begin with.
After all, the first place Feng Shao had ever called that name, has long become a far-fetched dream. That one place which had all his family members and the happiness one could ever wish for has long been destroyed when he was still a mere toddler.
The memory is still fresh in his mind. The cries of his loved ones still echo in his ears dripping with so much agony. Most of the time he was unable to sleep because of them.
Even the horrifying image of that evening still flashes in his mind reminding him of his purpose in life.
It still fed his brain with the picture of that man who wore a creepy mask which had red paint at the side of the mouth area. He couldn't remember if it was only paint or the blood of the innocent which he had smudged on his mouth in a moment of insanity.
Feng Shao could still remember the endless slushing sounds of the masked man slaying his family members as if he was slaughtering chickens. The wailing cries of his loved ones that shouted for him to run. Also the thuds of the bodies which he heard falling, watching some of his family members drop with their frames halved or missing other limbs. The rusted scent of blood which had filled his nose back then is still embedded deep in his mind.
He was still little back then. And at that time, he had nothing he could do to stand up for his family or himself. All he had done was listen to their instructions and ran and hid leaving his home behind in flames that devoured every existence of it.
Then again the same thing happened to his second home. Qiu Yu village had become a part of him. And when he witnessed it being destroyed he had felt the same pain from his hometown. The same hate and a craving for revenge peaked inside his throbbing heart enabling him to continue living.
That time it had been a wake-up calling to remind him that he was still weak. And that he needed to make himself stronger.
Just thinking of these memories made Feng Shao's eyes darken with killing intent. He moved his gaze to the window and stared at the dark sky. The stifling emotions he was feeling resembled the scene he was capturing in his tired eyes.
With a cold voice filled with no sentiment, he seemed to be making a promise to the person who was long etched in his heart, "Wait just a little longer until I find you. I will be sure to repay you with interest." After spouting the last syllable, Feng Shao turned away from it and covered himself with a quilt.
'I have to continue with this journey.' He seemed to be telling his consciousness as he fell asleep.
