Sooo, i was messing with my book a little, and noticed something.... Did webnovels remove the Custom tags? Cause i can't put them on my book, and the ones that are already there can't be saved... What's happening?!
Where are the custom tags...?
It's the new system. You can set tags that already exist. Start typing, and you will see the dropdown with options.
This was posted on discord for WNAuthors on 9/28:
"This announcement is in regards to an upcoming change to the Tags system of Webnovel books that will go into effect soon. We are seeking to streamline the tags that books can use to allow readers to find books of their interest easily and to make books more accessible. Thus, user-created tags will now be unavailable and instead, authors can choose to use predefined tags in the system to tag their books."
RedSonia oooh, but then, but then are there any way for me to recoment new tags for them to place on the site? Like "Godprotagonist" "God" or "Open World"?
What if I already added user-created tags to my novel? Do I need to delete them and replace them with new tags?

So your saying Webnovel wants the bigger Novels and Fanfics to dominate the tags while small up-and-coming novels are lost in the chaos. The rich get richer while the poor get poorer, ok Understood I expected nothing less from this money-hungry company.
Yeah . I read lots of gender bender novel & it seems that that tag & any similiar tags ( maletofemale, transgender, trap etc.) Have been removed. Which makes it more difficult to find em. & that stupid w thing dont help. & 95% of the time what gets recommended to me isnt anywhere near what im looking for.
So how many authors has this company lost cause of thier stupid decisions like this?
