Hi, there is something that make me have a headache and that is to make a choice...so, basically I already read hundreds or maybe thousands of manga...and I just start reading a particular novel, and suddenly in the middle of chapter 1 it ring a bell in my head and suddenly I remember I already read the manga version....so, what should I do? Should I wait for the manga to be updated or just go through the novel version coz trust me don't ask me to read both coz I will compare it although just a little tiny difference between those version.....so, what should I do????????

In my case, I first read the novel version because they tend to have more information and detail on them. I just read the manga version for the art and to support the author.

Lonelytree I love reading them together!

They each offer something the other usually cannot - visual environs and decorations and expressions, or in-depth descriptions and inner thoughts.

I am still a newb re novels/manga so I haven’t found such pairs often, but when I do it a real treat.

read the novel for more details and information. read the manga for the art.

Lemme make this clear for Percy Jackson fans who've read the series. Then go watch the lightning thief it was a let down and crashed hard. Same with the manhuas for LNS because they're "Child proofed" also a 18-23 page manga/manhua can only fit so much story. Thus a crap ton gets missed. Manhua adaptions of LNS suck dick is what I'm getting at here.

If it is manga, it is a matter of preference and whether you want better information or graphics.

As for manhua/hwas, the content tends to be less gory and more leaning towards comedic side with fast pace compared to novels. This is mostly due to chinese restriction on gory/s*x graphics and a market targeting teens. Wn/ln are read by teens/adult. Most cases, you will find different story line(like in lls or kuang sen)

manga translations are too slow, so I prefer novels.
I only read mangas when there is no novel :)

I'll start to read both and then compare them.
I usually find that one of them will be more appealing to me in which case I'll drop the other point in case .. coiling dragon .. I finished the novel but couldn't really get into the manga ( lets just say that my imagined version of Linley's Dragon form was a lot more impressive than the manga version, to be honest I'd seen more meat on a butchers pencil :P )
It also works the other way though .. I've liked a manga enough to go and find the novel version only to drop the novel because the translation as been so poor that i would have suffered less going to the dentist and having a tooth removed.
