Too many new books are becoming cryptic with the synopsis... They try too hard to make the novel mysterious which is a turn off... Synopsis are a clue to what they novel is about... They should be very direct and not a puzzle to solve... Nothing turns me away from a novel like a cryptic synopsis...

Drop the novel if the synopsis has a mental illness.

I've seen novels that don't even have one and it's just bs or spam recommendation. One of the is just "destroy us and japan and become best"

On one end you have this, on the other you have Japanese LN and WN that literally describe the entire plot in the book's title itself.

"So I accidentally died and was born into another world into the hero's party, but I had the weakest skill and was banished only to become the most overpowered farmer!" by - Author-sama

grimreaper906 Yeah... But that is too much effort to put into a novel to see if it may interest you....

Junior_Sundar Yeah... Those are bad as well but having to read reviews or a few chapters to see if you are interested in a novel is to much... Thats the only way you get to understand those novels with cryptic synopsis...

They are doing that to peek one person's curiosity.. Especially for those nosy readers like me.. It creates reaction like..'what the h@#k was that'.. 'she do what'.. 'what happens next?'.. 'so what is this all about?!' Then before we know it we gonna skim it.. Then bam a reader become a supporter.. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Dude. It's because they're too lazy to start summarizing duh. If you're interested, you read to find out. If you don't read..... You'll never find out~.
