Its because they think that its basically nonsense when you put a tag 'no harem' to a book.. You see, when you're not seeing a harem tag means its a no harem.. 
Why, it's merely par for the course. Harems are commonplace, much like the titular "system" genre. When everything on this platform has a harem of some kind, what need is there for a tag?
Sarcasm aside, there really doesn't appear to be any amount of psuedo-regex wizardry possible to bypass the missing tag. So yeah, you're probably just left with sifting through the pile of harem trash until you find something that isn't.
