  • Issue with google translate (extension - auto translate)

i don't think is a bug... is a new stupid encript system, the text is writed in random characters and is made a new font that traslate that garbage in something useful for the human eye... but break every addon.... normally i send the pages to my kindle and read in the bed before sleep.... now i can't anymore... i'll just delete this site if this isn't changed... i understand that they want prevent the theft .... but i think who want to copy the site will still find a way for decrypt it, who doesn't care will leave the site (and probably go to the copy version)

i just hope is an april fool.. if not i already found other sites with copy... funny that they already cracked the encryption

Webnovel messes up with the translation of the chapters, every time I try to translate a chapter of a paid novel, I get weird letters, but when I translate a chapter of a novel that has no contract, everything works normally. It's a pity, but that's as far as I go on this platform, I don't speak English :C

It is exactly for anti-piracy system against TTS(text to speech) that has caused this.

so in an attempt to stop users from using TTS they not only bricked translation from being used but also encouraged users to literally copy the content of chapters, just so that users can read it.

I can understand the need for copyright protection but there is a point where the return on implementation will actually be detrimental to a website instead of beneficial.

It's stupid anti-piracy system. Here a way you can try to avoid any sort of their strange systems:
1) Make a long screenshot of all chapter. My browser has build-in function for it. Just google screenshot with scroll,
2) Leave only wanted text in this screenshot.
3) OCR it. Just google "OCR online".
4) Get text from previous move and put it in translator.

Till you see text you will can translate it. It's work averywhere also.

If i have to do all this just for read a chap i prefer go on a pirate copy and just read from here without pay and problems, what they did is a idiot move, they will probably Lose more than the gain (since u can just OCR with a program and copy the text) the only 1 who will be hit is the user and not the bots, personally i wait 1 or 2 days for see if is an April fool, if isn't i use alternative site

About russia legalize piracy: it's not completely wrong, some of our country heads have trouble with head. They do whatever they want and don't see on aftermath.       I live in Germany and my English sucks so I use Google's automatic translation function. I unlocked books in which I bought coins and earned the tickets every day. Now I can't read the chapters because Google Translate only translates gibberish. if I want to continue reading the stories then I'm literally forced to read on other websites. because the copy protection function is not available there.
      I can't read it in the original language either because it only comes out in gibberish in German.

      The fact that you can't translate locked chapters via google translate (after paying for the unlocking) is a total bummer. I will not be buying anything from this site until this problem is resolved...
