After going to the Browse tab and choosing a category, the first ranking for novels is popularity. But how is popularity rated?
Like "Why did you summon me" in fantasy has 3265 Power stones and ranks 44 (4.1 rating),
"When a mage revolts" has 1092 Power stones and ranks 84 (3.9 rating)
To me, "Why did you summon me" seems more popular, but why is it lower down the list?
How does popularity ranking work?

Isn't rank 44 higher than rank 84
Maybe number of readers/views. We don't know those figures.
This ranking is a power stone ranking, the more power stones people put into a novel, the higher on the list! Keep in mind that ratings on this site wont be reliable due to alot of spam reviews.
Pretty sure it depends on the view count instead of power stones
The Top is ranked 1st. Number 1. Numero Uno. As the popularity declines, you'll habe a higher number. Yes you're right, it is more popular than when a mage revolts. That's why it's rank 34 and not 80+.
True_Seeker I doubt that. I saw completely new ones and deleted ones in the middle for no reason I could reason with.
KingBiBiK It means the current week view counts or something
True_Seeker Oh, that kinda make sense. But still that may not be the case.
Some are higher on the rankings but have less power stone votes. It does not make sense to me
