1.Having the ability to block authors and there content
2.Authors having the ability remove to comments and reviews
3.The ability to block tags from showing up along with the books that have said tags
well these are some of the things id like to see changed in the future even if it doesn't happen id like to get some more comments on this and hear what some other people think of this
that's why its on the list id like that removed that way the ranking boards can show what popular or what's actually good honestly it wouldn't be bad if for the fact that a lot of them are abusing it way to much if we look at other site like youtube ,steam they don't have a feature like that and the content creators and devs deal with it i really dont get why webnovel just don't use the same system like those sites it proven that it works alot better then what they are using now
a content creator ones said even negative reviews is still views but the real problem is the abuse of deleting any negative reviews so the ranking all fake because a lot of the ones at the top of the ranking board is mostly positive reviews and they delete most if not all negative its up to the readers to decide if a book is good or not not the authors
Loophus that's the reason why people should not judge the book by reviews, cover even the title , instead a true reader would read the first chapter and then determine if the book is worth for their time. People nowaday tend to listen or trust other people opinion or reviews, by doing that they can skip to waste their time reading the first chapters, that was so sad . Then there would be people claiming they found a hidden gem , but truthfully that just a novel that suit their taste.
DragonKnov idk i like to read through some reviews to get a see if the book is going to be a good read or just out right ruin my day. i don't know if you've read any of the fanfic harems but the genre is completely ruined rights now with a few of the top rankers being just patron spammers and just strait out smut with no plot to it at all or they blind side you with ntr and r*pe and there at the top because they delete all there negative comments so the can miniplate the ranking so there novels that only have up to 200 words for 5 chapters then the rest is patron spamming get more views and more money for basically nothing its just a scam that for some reason people are buying into literally but I'm also convince most of there positive revues are just bots
Loophus It's like with online shopping at this point. If a book has only 5 star reviews, the author is probably deleting all the critical ones and you might want to find a different book, but the 1 star-2 star are also usually from people who really aren't the target audience or who just don't understand something basic.
The 3 star-4 star, IMO, are the most useful for figuring out whether you'll like a book in the long term, since you usually get people who explain what aspects they enjoy and which ones they don't.
Loophus i see, i also hate NR and Rpe and reviews now days cannot be trusted even the reviews on the novel updates. idk about fanfic in webnovel rn, i only familiar with old fanfics such as dragonborn saga, Journey Towards Greatness and many fanfics from akikan, you should try fanction net and scribble hub, they also had some decent fanfics

I am an author and a reader, but I find that sometimes there is clearly bashing without any restraint (webnovel is not moderated), honestly I delete systematically the negative reviews that read only the first 20 chapters and that say this book is shit just by reading 1% of the novel ...
But I can assure you that I let the negative reviews when they are constructive and represent the problems of the novel.
So yes it's censored a part of the opinion, but behind it there is buiness model to make live and I don't accept the whims of some people, who should be already happy to read a free work.
Hamapo I wasn't pointing specifically at anyone at the top except the patron spammers on the fanfic side of webnovel its not there original story idea so no I'm not happy or grateful for the story that's just a excuse to get money off of other people who some writers heavily censer there work reviews to get more money it is a scam and i refuse to be told differently about this and if your work is good enough it shouldn't matter if its negative reviews or not if your happy with your work and enjoy writing it but that's not what going on here.
if you are a author then you are a content creator then you should happy that someone is paying attention to your work it doesn't work the way you think it does as i stated above in one of my other comments just like with a youtubers and a devs on steam even if it is negative review its still a review and if the book is good and people pay attention to the negative review without taking in the positives its there problem not yours. you got the whole thing backwards friend you don't tell your readers that they should fell happy or grateful that they get to read your books it makes no since
Loophus In my experience readers don't leave reviews, Authors have to seek for them from fellow Authors while readers just read silently.

4.ive been on the site since 2018 id like to think I have a lot of tolerance compared to a lot of people I'm not even going to touch the culture because I wasn't even talking about it and I wasn't bashing amateur authors so id appreciate if you stay on track here and stop changing focus to something not even apart of the conversation at hand.
5.i can say "thank you" just to be polite but i don't need to do it if the story has 184 chapters with the first 5 chapters being only 200 words in said chapters not including the patron that has more words asking for money then the chapter it self. the rest is just a thousand words patron spam every chapter with no story not even a glimpse of the story to be seen seen so forgive me if i sound like a nag for this type of thing
