It is 2023 and it still does not work. The 5 minute one works but you have to press the about the book button and return to the chapter.
I use the app BTW but I hate that they never fixed it. 15 minutes they could have just made us watch 2-5 ads for it.

Just give it a test for yourself. My timer also didn't work when I started reading. By the way, this has become a habit for me; now I constantly read for 15 minutes a day. Now I’ll ask do my math homework, I’ll use https://edubirdie.com/do-my-math-homework for this and I’ll do it again. By the way, what books do you read? I've already read a normal amount in a year.
I don't know if this will help but here are some things I learned: 1. if you choose a comic to read for 15 minutes you get the credit for reading a book for 15 minutes and the reading a comic for 10 minutes. 2. if you let your phone go to sleep during the time you're reading it kills the timer, and to start it up again you have to clear your apps. 3. if you are reading a comic sometimes it won't count it as 15 minutes if you don't click the blue button that says, "continue reading". 4. even if you do everything right sometimes it just doesn't matter because the app goes weird and doesn't do what it is supposed to do.
