For some reason when i enter web novel from my computer it turns everything into orange style and sometimes when i hover over the logos it says Chereads, but when i access webnovel from another computer its the normal webnovel site (no orange), but when i access webnovel from this computer its orange and says chereads, i even have images and the bug still persists. (Everything is orange whyyyyyyy!)

This sounds like it may be a issue on your end.
Start by checking you browser settings. Some browsers have settings that can change the colors of certain sites.
Next, check any browser plugins/apps and make sure they are up to date and not obsolete/discontinued.
Lastly, I did a quick google on 'chereads', and it seems to be some reading app that may be in competition with WN.
If none of this helps then all you can do is wait for the WN IT guys to get around to you.
P.S. In order to get help from WN themselves, it's best to add the tags 'PC' and 'Website' to this post so you get the right IT guy ASAP.

Found someone else having the same problem. And from their description, It's looking like your bookmark might have been redirected. Try using google to find the WN site and re-bookmark it, and see what happens.

Slaygor Now that you mention it my browser is google but for some reason its out of date (like i mean out of date, turns out something was blocking it from updating but i removed it) (but i don't see any relation, because this bug started a week ago)

The_Mutated_Nut i am also having same problem. try opening in incognito or in other browser through google(it works for me).

Found solution. Go to history, clear browsing history then 3 mark all. it should fix the prob. (i selected 24 hours time range. the bug started for me about an hour ago)

Yep, that's a different site. So it's confirmed as a bookmark redirect.
1st step; Clear your browser history and cache to get rid of any redirecting cookies and similar things.
2nd step; If problem persists, run a scan with your anti-virus software.
3rd step; If none of the above stuff works, then you will have to find someone who know a lot more than me to fix it. Sorry.

Slaygor Whats a bookmark Redirect?? and do i have to delete everything in my browser history and cache, also whats a redirecting cookies?

                The_Mutated_Nut
As far as I'm aware, a bookmark redirect poses no threat to your accounts in and of itself. All it does is find a certain bookmark and overwrite it's linked site. The problem is that they are often bundled with other malware in order to get on your computer in the first place. As such, I would highly recommend running a virus scan anyway even if the cache clearing works. And, depending on what the scan finds, think about changing passwords on any important sites. IE, bank sites and so on. Make sure you do the scan first. You want to get rid of any Keyloggers and/or Trojans first, or changing passwords will be pointless.

Slaygor Thanks for advice but which Anti virus scan should i use and is Bit-Defender a good one?

                    The_Mutated_Nut
I don't know Bit-Defender, so I can't say if it's any good or not. I personally use 'AVG free' as I'm on a pension and can't afford to pay for an anti-virus. I find it's the best of the free anti-virus software that I have used so far.
As far as clearing your cache goes, it can normally be found somewhere under your browsers settings. where exactly depends on which browser you use. Unless there is a 'cache' menu, try either 'privacy/security' or 'memory/storage'. If you use Firefox, like me, it will be under 'settings->privacy & security'.

I tried using different browsers and noticed something; after cleaning browsers, whenever you go to webnovel, a reading preference will pop-up and below was written 'Webnovel’s female-targeted brand is now Chereads!'
When I choose female-lead, it directly brings me to Chereads. But if I pick male-lead or didn't select any, it stays on webnovel.

This right here is why I hate the WN policy of implementing changes without any notice. Not even a "Hey, we changed this" after the fact. they would clear so much of the 'bug' reports if they just took the time to let users know what's changed.

                          Glad it helps! 😃
But I'm not sure if cheareads is a sister-web or a 3rd-party site that attacks webnovel because I'm new here. Still, I hope it won't have much effect on us.
