Linleybabe Well there is always risks when using the internet, however, Patreon is actually very secure, whereas I have no clue how secure webnovel will be.
I love how people act like everything should be free. you need money to live, if you can make money doing something you love (such as writing) then go for it!
I believe most people link patreon in their synopsis. Idk how you could link your paypal though; haven't seen it myself. I do know that, before you make any promises to any companies, you can also publish your book on other sites and setup patreon and paypal there as well.

Linleybabe You can't do it here... though you will be able to provide a link to your patreon in the authors thoughts section, Qidian hadn't implemented any system like that.... if you want to earn money through your work, you can try RoyalRoad, they support donations and even promote it....

Patreon is the way to go. Realize that if you ever get a contract with webnovel.com the first thing they will do is force you to take down your patreon.
