Is he a potato?
Few months ago I was going to read RTW, but someone told me that the MC only rely on other people powers and on his wits (cmon, we all know that 'wits' is no more than asspull in mostly novels). So, he does rely on other people powers?
Im out of thing that I want to read and im not willing to read a novel where the mc is a potato, a weak, pathetic and stupid potato.

I think RTW was more on building the city and, since he transmigrated to a world like the Middle Ages, then he used his knowledge of the future to invent weapons and others like electricity, etc. Since some tools were not available yet, he used the witches' powers to make these. But during war, he doesn't really fight since he has the witches and his soldiers. He just supplies the weapon ideas and mostly, the strategies. He's not stupid, just powerless in a world of magic. 
Cytric well, we could just imagine if we send to middle ages time, what can we do if we got no cheat/system/op/cultivation or whatever. Are we potato? I think it would be depend on whatever basic skill we have and what luck (read: plot) already in store for us.
In summary, RTW MC somehow has more brain/memory capability than average modern people. Maybe thats his cheat?

Ok Let guess you get transmigrate to that world. Remember this world of RTW just woman get magic power and its just happen when they are child or young not more than 16 or 18.
what you will do? you don't have any power. You are mortal like everyone, but the MC here made something that others cant do....so if you get there will you do the same or you will be the POTATO.
Many people saw this novel as harem but i don't. I don't know what is harem....but i thought is something like a lot of women around the MC to satisfice whatever he want.

I din't know nothing about this novel before making this thread.
And the key point of this thread is "So, he does rely on other people powers?", the first and the last line is a joke, sorry if that was not clear.
And my logic is kinda simple; I want the MC to be the MC all the time. You see, there a novel called "Emperors Domination" where the MC is the most supreme existence of that world (not the universe), but he barely do anything, he fight in one hundred chapters or so, the rest of time is him telling people to fight for him. This kinda annoy me. This annoy me so much that I got butthurt just for remembering it. So, I call the MC of "Emperors Domination" a potato too, a stupid one.
