Anyone know how to write bold and italic in inkstone?

BlaccLotus on the left side of where the chapters are written there is a "B" which is bold "I" which is italics

Seems to still be the case where you can only use Bold and italic if you're contracted. How I get around it, I use markdown on my text to show the format E.g.: _ text _ = Italic ** text ** = bold, etc.
