TheLonerLion 6 days are an estimate that may extend towards the end of January....
I'm getting nervous here...
NineNeatherBird I am past that. I was for a while. But now it's just...
3 days?
NineNeatherBird next year.
Time seemed to have been playing tricks on me. As I find myself in moments that I have lived before. Because I swear to god I had lived through the same day. Only it was 28th of November.
Qidan where are the results you promised?
No matter the results, we are all winners for doing this.
[unknown] that is true.
mud7 Many write for different reasons. I have wanted to write a book since elementary school. It took me reading at least 600 fictional novels in the past 7 years for me to summon up enough courage to try my luck.
I was in the army in 2015 about to go overseas when I wrote my first four chapters. By the time I was done with them, I absolutely hated my story. I had turned my main character into an arrogant know it all who pushed past any challenge without a single shred of knowledge of the world he was thruster into. I turned him into the kind of person I could never respect. So I shredded those four chapters.
I got married after I got back from overseas. The marriage was fine for the first six months, then she started sleeping around with a friend of mine while I had night shift gate guard. After that, I needed to not be there.
Instead of blowing up and winding up in jail, I sat down and revisited the world I made a year prior. I fixed up the main character and continued writing. It was probably Will Ragnos that kept me sane while I waited for the proof I needed to nail my friend with adultery.
I went through a very difficult divorce, I almost didn't make it out. I was a sad excuse for a person, yet my book kept me here. I felt tied to the reality in which I made.
My writing saved my life. Many people write for different reasons. Some because all that creativity needs to be expressed, some because they believe they can outshine their favorite authors, some because they have a world inside of them that they feel needs to be shared, and some might just be looking for other ways to survive.
[unknown] I avoided going to jail by writing the book lol https://my.w.tt/UiNb/KbMsuqguuJ

I would say the story drives the characters in the sense that the characters grow and develop in response to plot-driven events that happen around them.
I am quite nervous for the results, sleep is a long lost friend.
