GillyGo I agree with the others, there seems to be a logical jump in your conclusion. But I get how easy it is for people to generalize businesses in certain countries because of the bad press in western media. I know people have a tendency to use this convenient alibi when something doesn't go their way. Like when an equipment breaks down, they would blame the manufacturer instead of thinking about the factors that could have contributed to the breakdown. I doubt that Sky would really do that in order to benefit other translators. Anyway, my main point is that translations, as well as translators, should be reviewed for quality. It's fine if they passed the translators test, but even startup companies have an onboarding process where they guide newbies. Now that Qidian is part of a publicly traded corporation, it should really care about how it appears to the public.
Thanks to Olivia checkm8 Klepar Neverfire7 for your replies. I'm hoping to see an improvement to the future chapters. Personally, I find MSiE interesting, when I first read it. I didn't know the meaning of eschatology back then. I thought it was a made up word, but then as the story progressed and the translation mistakes became apparent, I finally looked it up and saw it was plain wrong. And it just bothered me.
