Its really depend, But if you think that the new novel will gain more attention than previous one then feel free to do it
Should I write something else?
Just rework your entry chapters to maximize retention, if you think that's an issue. Don't look at the views, they're meaningless. Even if someone just sees your cover in a list, it counts as one.
Give it time and rethink this decision in a month. Try to post actively more often.
Do review shares with people, no matter how cringe a prospect it looks. When you unlock the star ratings, it'll stand out from the rest of the post and ghost stories out here.
Personally, I skimmed over your first chapter and I loved it. You just need to find your targetted audience.
Fallen_Pages not really. You can write a new one but the thing is the old one will still be on your profile so your readers will still check it out and it won't be too good if you just drop the novel especially if it's your first novel. At chapter twelve, I only had like 8 collections and 2k views so you are lucky

And ur luckier thn me cuz at chp 12 i think i only had 2 collection lol... I mean it's better now but still it is my first book I didn't really expect it to just go and become famous overnight... After i reach chp 30 than finally the views and collection started to go u.... At that time i was going to leave it cuz my exam was coming up but thn suddenly it started to gain some readers, so I decided to complete my first work no matter what it's okay even if don't earn anything from it. maybe my second work will be better. There are alst of Authors who became famous with just a single book. But sometimes eng is not the Author first lang just like me eng is my third lang and also we can write a lotttt and gain valuable experience.
Fallen_Pages That is a tad bit low amount of chapters if you are thinking about dropping.
However, for me personally, the act of writing itself is fun and I don't really care if I am not going to get enough readers or something. If there is even one reader, I am going to complete the story for them.
Nonetheless, if you wish for earning money from it. You should drop it if it ain't getting enough readers. I should also add, I know a person who almost got none of the readers for as long as his 180th chapter and then he blew up.
And now he is in the top 25 list of the webnovels.

Fallen_Pages I recommend you to slowly upload one chapter per day and not post it all at once. I don't know how much it would help
BTW wanna do swap reading?, to at least increase a little bit lol
Fallen_Pages dont decide if you should continue your story or not based form its statistics when it just have around 12 chapters and just newly created. Based from my experience, it really takes time before a book starts performing well and it would take 30-50 chapters before you get collections and even a noticeable increase in your views.

Fallen_Pages Got it, I will response as soon as possible
NewbieJimjim 'Galanar' author of 'New Eden'
Fallen_Pages do not compare yourself to others!
It is probably the worst thing for a writers motivation, btw only collections really matter,
I recommend at least getting through the first story arc before calling a novel quits
But if your bored of writing the story, then donโt force yourself to write something you donโt want to

Fallen_Pages personally, I think it just comes down to the reason why you're writing. If you're having fun in writing your current story, I highly suggest for you to just continue regardless of the engagement, audience, and views. A writer who's writing without constraints can be more creative than when he/she is writing based on the amount of engagement he/she will get. Well, just my opinion
