I would just like to verify if people wanting to earn a contract, would actually be given one and how? Last thing I saw on the 'Become an Author' page was that the writer is required more than 120k words in a month. That's like less than a hundred chapters. I hope someone could enlighten me about this case.
Do I need to mail Qidian to a contract as a writer?

Webnovel also have ways to sorting the reviews and readers base. if all comes from one place, please don't expect any contract :)
Requirements that they ask you to fulfill: 50,000k words minimum
Requirements that they don't tell you to "necessarily" do but obviously, its a requirement: at least 5k collection on your novel, incredible views/chapter ratio, ranking (most preferably within top 10 for weeks, top 20 is arguably meh).

Webnovel is a business company. They could find how many "REAL" readers you have. Being that high using clones is not enough.

They will offer this if the contracted author doesn't earn at least minimum wage for thier novel (I think)

50k or 1.666/day in doable for most people.
MasterRabbink I think Cobyboy meant the novel needs to reach 50k words before being eligible for a contract. The author need to crank out 120k words a month for the novel afterwards.
It is a slave contract unless there are a lot of rich readers willing to spend paid spirit stones on the novel. Then the authors' paycheck could be unlimited.

MasterRabbink No, you can actually ask for a contract when reaching 50k, 120k is for monthly payment guarantee, which is currently not applicable for the contracted works on WN, its just something that's on Qidian mothership
Cobyboy ah I see it now. The 120k words could actually be referring to 120k Chinese letters. That would make more sense.
