Cut out the "free" users and see just what they have going for them. Would they make anything from ads? This free you claim users get is actually their share of ad revenues generated from ads so be real when you talk about the "favors" Webnovel is providing.
On the other hand, having little to no consideration for its users is what Qidian, and by default Webnovel, is known for so I am not sure why users end up so shocked to find it is run by liars who think nothing of honoring anything they promise.

On 08/24 I logged watched videos, spent spirit stones, earned stones, voting, etc. I logged in today and all my history for 08/24 is gone. The novels I unlocked are relocked and the stones listed as expired. This is the 3rd time this has happened.

The10thCrow You don't have to worry. Most of the FL novels are so low level and paint women in such a shallow, crappy light that the trend will not last long.
I am female and seldom read novels with FLs anymore.

In the new app on the Samsung Edge 7S. There were multiple locked chapter on a novel and I accidentally skipped several when I unlocked. I was still able to claim the Read 3 chapters of a book and Read 7 chapters of a book.
Shouldn't you have to actually unlock the chapters first?

Yesterday, for some reason when I clicked on using spirit stones to read premium chapters, it would not allow me to do so. And my spirit stones expired. Today it is doing the same thing.

For me, the problem is not premium. I understand and support it. The problem is that once you pay premium to read a chapter, you lose the free chapter unless you wait for the system to catch-up.
The other problem is that the quality errors I was willing to ignore when it was free/4 spirit stone become unacceptable when I am paying 10-19 spirit stones per chapter.
The current system bases the chapter price on the number of words. Will this lead to the same problem, we see with the novels themselves, of wordy fillers? Will we now see more wordy, less concise translations?

I think a flat fee monthly system would work best. It could still be tiered to target the casual, not so casual, and fast readers. I see comments that monthly will not work due to the membership size on Webnovel. That makes no sense because if that is the case then this whole premium system is even less likely to work.

If your stones are going to expire and you have nothing to use them on, go to some of the novels and unlock some chapters anyway.
