One reason why I've stuck to Webnovel for so long is because reading is less data intensive compared to watching videos for example. But after the recent update, at the end of every chapterthete is a video advertisement playing. The first time I got a notification that my limited data plan ran out and was wondering how that could be. But now I realized those videos are consuming what I have. Is there a way to disable them? I don't mind the picture ads that were present before but this is too much.

Darth_Xiane this is on point ! When an mc has their own life and goals not just motivated by external factors, it really builds character.

A funny (yet not so fun) thing I encountered was when the mc found himself in this world and after struggles, some wins, some loses, a lot of cultivation struggle to aid his people, the mc finally becomes a god-like being.

Unfortunately, now the mc is detached even from those he just saved and no longer spends time in the real world. It ended with him somewhat pondering Dao in the heavens and no longer caring about reality.

It leaves me wondering, why would he become all so powerful only to become a force of nature without any more goals or even a will? (he became the will of heaven lol)

Calian I don't think he will be stuck there till the apolacypse. As he is right now, I dare say he is still relatively weak to even effectively protect what he wants.

He should at least be at sequence 1 with new enhancements from the Gray fog making him almost like a king of Angels.

If worse comes to worse and there seems to be no solution to leaving, he can sacrifice his body to the Gray Fog then have someone else carry out a bestowal ritual where Klein can send out his body then allow his spirit to control it again in the real world.

Calian I've been to the discord and as much as there are some little spoilers sprinkled here and there, I found some of the people over there are not up to spoilers.

Sollkiri umm, one point that's not right is where you say Roselle sacrificed his sanity by switching to Mystery Pryer from Savant.

Those two are totally interchangeable just like Ince switched from Death to Sleepless without sacrificing his sanity.

According to what has been translated, the first instance of almost losing his sanity was due to not having a proper anchor when he became a Sequence 2 (he didn't know about anchors but he got back to normal).

The 2nd instance was when he had already switched and met something (we're not told what it is) and he decided to become a God of Black Emperor pathway at any cost. (we don't know if he succeeded or what happened).

I get what you mean on the characteristics not being easily available . I guess he should work on getting the Fool main ingredient instead of trying to get a characteristic.

I read somewhere that those who switch pathways would be slightly weaker at the same level than those of the same pathway who started from scratch. I'm not sure it's true but there's some sense to it. (correct me if I'm wrong)

But then, this is usually the case for those who gather the ingredients to advance. If Klein becomes a Planeswalker by using a characteristic, it would be different.

A characteristic will have all the potions from sequence 9 to 2. Klein will thus have all the powers of both Seer to sequence 3 and Apprentice from sequence 9 to 2.

The one who gave me the idea - called @Foolishdaoist then mentioned that for Klein to become a Sequence 1 of the Fool pathway, he has to consume the characteristic of an Attendant of Mysteries.

This will even contain the potion of a sequence 2 of fool pathway. By this point, he will have all the powers of the Fool pathway and those of the Apprentice pathway up to sequence 2! He can act out those of the Fool pathway slowly.

I dare say he will be rather strong in such a case even before becoming a king of Angels. What are your ideas on this?

(by the way, Ince didn't have so much of an advantage switching since his Death powers were only up to sequence 5)

Based on what Bernadette told him that "your fate lies in the peak of the Hornacis mountain range" and the result of his divination which also showed the mountain, I think he will find a way to remain in the Fool pathway.
