Other Info: 59 parts by now. All of them between 1500-3000 words (some longer), but I try to keep it around 2500 words.
There's 3 types of writers
1. Those who get thousand comments and review a day and will likely not notice the one with constructive criticism. Reader will complain then about author not interacting with them
Those who are overly sensitive/due to childhood trauma and low self-esteem associate criticism with attack and aggresion. Will delete the review. Reader will complain about authors deleting rewievs and not wanting to improve.
Unnoticed flops that check their chapters 4 times before posting it and would die for a honest feedback from the reader. Readers won't complain.
They instead will be too busy messing with author 1 and 2 and ignore author 3 like everybody does.
Some of you gonna be really mad at me but it has to be said
OneWolfe Volumes are for dividing parts/books of the same story.
If you have a trilogy it's better to create 1 novel with 3 Volumes instead of 3 novels. I'll explain why.
Let's assume you'll have 3 books with 50 chapters. 50 chapters is considered small amount on this app. A lot of readers won't start a novel unless it has more chapters. So a lot of people would simply ignore your books.
But if you have 1 novel with 3 volumes this means you have a book with 150 chapters. This is a good amount and people would be more likely to give it a try.
Azzack I've noticed that if you want to make your novel popular fast on this app you need to update at least once a day.
However majority of this fast updated novels are full of mistakes. And I'm not only talking about grammar and spelling but also logical mistakes e.g. some character has black long hair and 6 chapters forward they're having blonde hair and so on.
If you update daily there's little to no time for revisions. Some authors didn't even bother to read what they wrote previously or they read current chapter once and then publish it.
Unless you get yourself an editor it's either quality or quantity.
I don't have an editor. Webnovel isn't the only site I upload my stories to. I upload 2-3 chapters a week which is considered a little slow pace but I want to have time for revisions.
I think Energy stones are to decide which novel would be translated next by webnovel translation team. So "normal" novels are not selected for voting - because their authors are responsible for them and the updates.
