KeyserSoze Honestly I don't have many "hidden gems" the only way to find them is by digging deep enough in the rankings. Anything 1000 to 2000 plus in the ranks will be pretty hidden in terms of algorithm.

Grand_Void_Daoist My recommendation is integrate a patreon style system into the place. OR a subscription model. If WN wants to grow they should start considering moving into other areas now. They could easily start looking at doing animation or adapt manga on some of the more successful series. Of course I'm just an IT guy.

luckyone4812 Well If I were a unscrupulous person I would recommend my own work, but I have to admit it is largely cause the good novels tend to be buried under a mountain of popular genres where they lean into troupes hardcore.

If you want to find some good stories I would say steer clear for a year or two from Wuxia/Xianxia and LitRPGs or "system" novels. While they can be entertaining they tend to be very formulaic. Take a respite and read some more traditional style novels.

1. I was giving an example. Smut is genre and ppl will search that out intentionally. However their are quite a few that have great stories that are undermined by making the characters "fall in love and shack up" in two seconds flat.

I can certainly give it a shot as I have done some editing for non-english speakers in the past. The only question is 15 usd for all 60 chapters?

I know many people here are excited about the WSA2021 and other contests that are happening, but I implore you not to undermine your writing by throwing in unnecessary things that will get a lot of eyes, but only hamper your in the long run.

Prime example is to make another overly graphic and over the top s*x scenes. Yes they get reads, but often it is tiresome and most of it has been done before.

S*x is something that can be done tastefully and tactfully in a novel. Having people jump into it quickly can undermine your character. This isn't always the case as it depends on context,. Good luck everyone give me your thoughts.

Edel_Li Solid stuff mate. Though I would really spread out the descriptions a bit they can go in other parts of the story without bogging down teh beginning. Otherwise fantastic start.
