I checked out the story, but I noticed that there are locked chapters. Does webnovel lock chapters for all stories after they reach a certain length, regardless if the author signed a contract or not?

If the author announces in an author's note in the first chapter of the story that they will never put their story behind a paywall, would it sound suspicious to you?
I am planning on not signing a contract with Qidian since I don't believe readers should have to go through a paywall to access my written content. Would it increase readership?
I know that in websites like Royalroad, the limit for the number of explicit sex scenes in stories is 15% of a story's content. Does Qidian have limits like that as well? It seems like the Terms of Service for this website state that pornographic content is not allowed in this website (8.c. of Terms of Service), even though R-18 stories are easy to find.
I believe explicit sex scenes about pedophilia and rape are prohibited on this website. Are there other types of sexual content prohibited on this website?
