    Thanks, good to know.

But I probably will never need to do it.

    • Huh, I didn't know that authors could delete reviews... I thought that they only could report them for abuse.

      • PWS replied to this.
      • Well, in general, you can see the number of valid reads to know how many people are reading your story.

And on the attracting actual readers front, well... we all want the answer to that...

Although, there are things that can help, the kind of tips you've probably heard a lot of times, like updating frequently, having a lot of chapters, etc.

Well, since there is no specification, I will just go and recommend mine.

Its genres are Action, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy

        Here is the synopsis:

This is the story of Zarco, a young guy with a magic stone and not much else, and Caelum, a wingless "angel".

        "Caelum
        -That's stupid...

        Zarco
        -Eh, it is..."

Ahem, anyway, a lot of action & adventure awaits them, as they are forced together on a journey in search of some magic stones of legendary power.

        "Zarco
-Liar! We're currently doing a lot more of "trying to survive" than rock picking around here!

        Caelum
        -Yeah, that is pretty misleading."

Ok, screw this, I am out, if nobody read this story it will be your fault.

        "Zarco
-The hell are you talking about, you're the one who wrote this...

        Caelum
-Since our writer is unreliable, I will finish this. This story at its core is just a fun rump, focused on action, adventure, and a lot of comedic dialogue and exchanges. If you had at least a chuckle reading this then you will probably enjoy the story.

        Zarco
-Yo, thanks for reading till this point, we will meet again at the pages."

And, if after all of this you still wanna read it, here is the link:

          • Huh, that is a very unique way of asking for novel recommendations...

Any specifics or any story will do?

            • Burst17
Yep, everyone gets that, Webnovel does it for some reason.

            • Redchaos1
              Hey, thanks for the review.

I am a little surprised with the pretty positive review, but glad you enjoyed it.

Well, good luck with the channel, the youtube algorithm will be a pretty tough opponent.

            • grimreaper906
For multiple reasons, they tend to be iconic and very motivated, which resonates with readers.

For comedy, they are awesome too, since you can have them seeing themselves as the best and then BAM! Reality hits and they are pathetic. Jokes ensue.

But the basic answer is because they are entertaining.

Well, from what I know "show, don't tell" is more relevant to elements of the plot of the story, rather than descriptions.

One very common thing you will see is a character or the narrator saying something about a character instead of having a scene giving that information.

For example, if I tell you a person is impulsive, you would absorb that information, but it wouldn't particularly stick with you.

Now, if you saw that said person being impulsive, it would leave a way stronger impression on you.

That is why showing is better than telling.

Well, it depends a lot on the type of blog you want.

Is it an analysis blog? Where do you tell what you think of the works?

Is it a recommendation blog? Where do you tell what stories you recommend and those you don't?

Is it a critique blog? Where you deeply analyze works to tell what works, what doesn't, etc?

If it is a catalog/information blog, then you probably should put as much context and information as you see relevant, so maybe multiple reviews can be necessary to give off the public reactions to the work.

              • DarkElven6
Ok, I just read your review.

Thank you very much for reviewing my work.

And yeah, the story presentation is pretty bad right now... but I am glad you enjoyed the content itself.

                • Nychta
Thanks for the offer, though I would prefer an honest review over a positive one, so don't need to hold your punches and tell me what you liked, what you didn't, and what could be improved.

So, if you are still up for a review, here is the story.

Yeah, the site simply ignores extra spacing, so you will need to do something like putting a dot in every time you want an extra line.

                  example:

                  text
                  .
                  text

Or you can put whatever you want, just don't leave empty lines.

Yeah... that was definitely not the kind of villain I was thinking.
