  • ODonovan they took the translator off of it but it looks like they never replaced them.

    • FilledWithHope You aim to do the best you can and try to learn from your mistakes. Authors of all types try to do the same. Doesn't prevent the mistakes from happening. Especially in webnovels which tend to lack an editor on ths original work.

    • FilledWithHope Well that was a mature and measured response. Trying for the black powder fan approach or just being edgy to look cool?

Authors put a lot of work into those stories and at the end of the day they make mistakes, but if you're still reading despitd said mistakes then they're not storybreakers.

Besides, some of it just reads as being exaggerated to give it a greater impact, like someone telling a fish story.

      • I feel like part of the problem is tying SS to doing a review leading to people using it as an excuse to dump spam 5/5 reviews on books. I feel like this could be fixed (at least partially) by limiting people to one review per book so they'd need to at least review other stories.

        • Law of narrative causality applies. Basically anytime anything happens it's done either to highlight the drama of the moment or coolness of the protagonist.

          • Either do it yourself, collaborate with someone else and give them full credit or don't do it.

            • Janhavishah Martial Arts Mastee has been collecting dust for quite some time as well. A real shame since it has one of the better romances in an martial arts story as well as a likable protagonist.

              • chibizion it got a lot better. All caught up and reading every update ad they come out.

                • People really should go look at TV Tropes. There is a whole series of tropes for things writers are bad at. Writers are human and make mistakes. Some make less than others, but all make mistakes.

                • Nighterfield a slow start isn't a problem, but I am having connecting with the MC in the early chapters. I assume it gets better though.

                  • takeshi_zaizen I read other stories on it now, but it's the one that made me take the jump from ads to buying SS. Plus we have all these other new stories coming out and yet this one just gathers dust for some reason.

                  • I really wish they'd just let the old team keep translating instead of pushing them off and (to steal something from I Really Am A Superstar) castrating the series. I mean if you don't have a better team do something, why push the team you do have away?

This would probably frustrate me less if it wasn't for the fact that Martial Arts Master is the novel that got me to create an account and start buying spirit stones. Heck I even reread all the available chapters last week just to try and enjoy what little of the story we have.

If I could find the raws I'd at least try to read the story via MTL but since this is the I my place this story seems to be able to be found I can't even do that.

                    • "Martial Arts Master". It's one thst was already being translated but hasn't seen new chapters in so long I'm starting to wonder if I need to offer incense to the novel.

                      • My suggestion: get someone translating Martial Arts Master again! That story got me buying Spirit Stones instead of watching ads or sticking to free chapters.

                        • Boendal Martial Arts Master. Single romance, a protagonist who goes from weak to strong (and can even lose!), and a story that is complete (in Chinese). It's got an imperfect translation but it's worth the read for what we have, and more love for the story could get a new team translating the story.
