Hey, im just asking, but no more free chapters has been unlocked for all of the novels I am reading, will no more chapters be given out for free?

Nobody seems to know, personally, i think qidian is testing the waters to see what would happen if they either take out the free chapters completely or leave it weekly, in the sense that they wosh to see if this would mean the increase or decrease of SS spent, maybe thats why there has been no official statement, so they can claim it to be an error of the site instead of an experiment if it goes wrong

      yariazen nope. They have not given any statements at all when some of the paywalls went up.

      They did the same when they started labeling the ss as bonus and paid.

      They can only hope that whatever works in the original website works here but they seem to be blind to the global competition in terms of reading literature. As English readers, we have a lot of options. They are quite lucky that we happen to find the webnovels they have fascinating right now.

      Considering the translations are hit and miss, I don't know how they think we'll subscribe to this forever. It's pretty funny what they are doing, imo.

        Don't they say when they started the premium membership thing that they would still release premium chapters for free on a fixed schedule? Combed through the book of answers and found nothing that says that there will no longer be free chapters. I mean I'm up to date with two stories by paying ss but I can't afford any more ... if I have to pay for all books I might as well go to a store and look for a good book to read there... of course I understand that those authors need money but we gotta live too and money sadly does not grow on trees to spend it lavishly... sigh

          they really need to make a statement about that, it's really bugging me when almost all novel go premium and they did something like this, it's basically they not fullfiling their promises to free reader, what a bad customer relation team they have

            That was the last slap in the face this reader will suffer. I'm fed up with their never ending sneaky and greedy policy changes that they always do without any announcement. There is so much I can bear from the bunch of IRL young masters that manage this website.

              this is getting ridiculous. I was already fed up with the high prices, but you were still able to read lots of different novels because of the 1 free chapter a day without supporting this shady company. Now they turned nearly all novels premium and removed the free chapters?! So I can only read ~3 regular chapters with free SS a day?
              When I first found this site, it was a reader's heaven, but already got warned by wuxiaworld readers etc of Qidian's shady tactics. Sadly it got even worse than I imagined. Sneakily introducing premium and now removing free chapters... Qidian really doesn't care about their readers and their opinions, instead they slap their faces.
