Hah novels in ma library with no new chapters for a while now
No more free chapters?
They seem to prioritise usage of premium stones too or at least that has been the case for me lately. If you have premium stones and free stones which expire, it will use the premium stones first and leave you with the free ones which expire meaning if you buy too many stones, half of them will expire before you can use them. It seems they don’t want people to keep reading here at all.
It looks like the free chapters are gone for now, but just type the novel you like in google and you can find some good sites that let you read all the novels for free and have the latest chapters.

Jojo_b2 That won’t work lol. Funny story, I had a problem with buying SS, and submitted a support request and they replied immediately and got it resolved. I asked support about the premium chapters and they never replied. So I sent a few more every few days and no reply. They must really not want to talk about it. I’d get if they couldn’t talk about it due to legal reasons, but they could at least say, “We can’t talk about it.” Instead of just ignoring us. Make them look super shady.

Yep as of August 23. ALL free premium unlocks have been REMOVED due to pressure from homeland CHINA Qidian.
They made no official post because as usual Qidian is being shady, and wouldn’t want to deal with the massive fallout. When you have to ask a translator, and the company ignores you... #RIP free readers. My self included. 
Im just gonna do the chinese business model and look for ehem knockoffs.

How sad... I more than willing to watch ads to unlock chapters and have bought some SS to show my support for a couple of novels. But no free chapters? Tough luck, you lost me. Not even sure I will stick with the currently free novels I read here. After all if they are just going to get paywalled then what is the point?

Finally found my answer in this thread.
So, the summary after I read all the post here is :
-As 23rd August, all premium novel is no longer get unlocked for free like before
-So all premium novel is locked behind paywall with SS
-All free SS is still can be obtained with Power Stone Vote, New Novel Vote, Daily Check in and Daily Ad Watch (only on mobile web)
With Webnovel and Gravity Tales dual hosting, is premium novel will be locked too on Gravity Tales ? Poor GT, you gonna be so fucked up by Webnovel.
Screw this, I’m moving to WW
in the end, does making things this way allowed translator / author earn more money & fame?

Costs $30 for a full book in a shop which is like 500 plus chapters. Much cheaper than the endless pitfall of cliffhangers! Currently reading 5 ln but will have to give up 3 now. Too expensive coming from someone that has bought ss before just because I liked a novel so much and wanted to support. Not anymore though
If you don't care about proofreading or editing and just want to get the gist of the chapters there's LNMTL for whatever WW doesn't have. Still doesn't have everything WN has but it has the popular stuff like Library of Heaven's Path and I'm Really a Superstar. There's also always the pirate way for the slightly less moral.
