    Not sure if trolling but no. Power Stones determine the novels power ranking for the week. That is how high they appear on the list of all original or translated novels. They reset each week for all novels to keep competition fair for new novels. You can also view previous weeks power rankings for comparisons if you want to.

    There are a few ways writers can make money off their novels.
    1. Get contracted by Web Novel. You know how some novels require Spirit Stones to unlock chapters? Those novels are contracted. Any readers that use paid spirit stones to unlock those chapters have part of the money go to the author. Free spirit stones don't count.
    2. Contract authors also have a gift function on their novel pages where users can donate "Gifts" using power stones. Authors get part of the money (or maybe all. I'm not sure.) Again, only paid spirit stones count.
    3. Many authors list a Patreon or similar site on their novel page. Sometimes readers donate to them if the book is good.
    4. Some non-contracted authors publish their books on Amazon in hopes of making some money.

        Snitzfoam Free SS didn't give anything to authors/translator.

        Powerstone would matter for Rank. The Rank is the way for author to make their novel popular and get a contract with Webnovel.
