Take_the_Moon Yep, I know. But I wanted you to pick the one you like the most. ;p
I might read the others later, but I'll only start with one. And probably not until next week.
I have some things I need to catch up on, bleh. I was lazy last week and got behind on some work.

It is a sickness on some level. But the cause varies from person to person, and it's hard to help those people. Then again, I think most people in this world have a distorted view of love. It's probably been like that for a very long time considering the history of every country.

Communications is a big issue with relationships though. It's a major cause of many failed relationships. And it boggles my mind that people can get in a serious relationship with someone, but not be willing to talk to them when there is a problem. Or so I say. I guess I understand some of it, but not all of it. Opening up to someone can be hard. However, if you can't be open with them, should you really be in an intimate relationship with them? I don't think so. Maybe I'm crazy though.

They probably needed psychological treatment long before they even started the relationship, lol. But, don't we all on some level? Oh well.

    lozlo
In short: We are all crazy on some level and we need treatment!

We agree on one more thing: If you cannot open yourself to a person, how should you be in an intimate relationship with that person ?!

Well, as you said, maybe I'm crazy, too? Or you will see that "love" is the problem! Hahahahaha! Pity the "love" that takes the guilt of everything!

Ohhhh I await your decision on the story.

    Xoxo

Take_the_Moon So you're not going to tell me which one is your favorite? lol.
I'm indecisive by nature. But I guess I can read the synopsis for them later and pick one. ;p

I might go take a nap first. And mess up my sleep cycle again, lol. I just feel kind of bleh the last few days. Oh well.

TheGentlemenWorld Why when everything in this world is deceitful? Women wear makeup to hide their faces, we wear coloured contacts, dye our hair, pluck our eyebrows, remove hair and present ourselves according. Just like their are some guys who are the same or people who believe they were born the wrong gender. Tom boys, pretty boys, transgender it's life. But I gotta say I do love me some gender bender so if you can let me know what novel that was 😍😍😍

lozlo Yeah, the whole rape this is pretty off putting. I mean, I'm sure it happens and it could be an avenue to go down in exploring love... I do feel it is over represented though. I would never write that sort of situation for a leading character! shudder In fact I straight up frowned upon that stuff in my book. I don't think (personally) we should be romanticizing that sort of behavior. To each his own though...

BabyTanuki This is one of those situations where I don't feel "to each his own." Rape should never be romanticized. People who try to romanticize it should be castrated and then have a heated metal rod stuffed up their ass so they can experience something that might be comparable. If they learn to love it... We'll go from there. I'm fairly confident they won't learn to love it.
I accept that it happens, but I refuse to accept glorifying it as something good.
I think the best example I can think of is... Revenge. If someone uses it as a way for revenge on someone who did them something wrong... It's still not right. I might be able to understand it. But, even then, you're still going to be punished for doing it. And I'm not going to slacken the punishment, even if I can understand it. Not so much because I feel you're wrong, but because I don't want to condone it, no matter the reason. If you hate someone that much, kill them and be done with it.

Scarlettbunny I am NOT judging your interests. In fact, I really don't care about your interests, normally, but when you make a post like that, I can't just not scream internally. The book's name is National School Prince Is A Girl

lozlo My friend, what you have written is pure poetry.

This is an old topic, but I'm glad it was brought up again because I completely agree with you. Even if I was bothered by BL, I would rather have a boy worrying that he's falling in love with a boy who's actually a girl rather than romanticizing rape. At least in the former example, he's going through the actual stages of romance by crushing on someone.

I also remember another topic in some other thread about why are the cold psychopaths so loved by women? And I can attest for a fact that (mentally or emotionally secure?? although I hate to judge) sound-minded women would never want a block of ice that's potentially dangerous. After all, I would hope at least, we want to be loved and secure in our relationships. Rather than romance, I would rather such a story be a psychological drama... Sure, danger can thrilling for a time, but unless the "bad boy" changes, does any girl really want to marry and live with such a jerk? I also don't understand the craze for bad boys, a little mischievousness, humor, and daringness is fun, but constant, purposeful rudeness and teasing should not be the way to catch a girl. I can understand it being "fun" to change someone, but I don't know, I would rather just have a nice chap from the start where we both mutually support and understand one another. Why all this complicatedness? The demands are actually so simple... That's emotions and the heart interfering with our logic I suppose. XD

Ah but I digress. I just simply wish to see better or more original (and realistic) romances on this site.

                    Hello!
I don't agree ... Changing people only creates chaos and confusion. In addition, it generates a lot of hurts, after all, people do not change by the will of other people. At least normal people.

People change because it is beneficial to oneself. Also because the person realizes he needs to change. Of course, everything will start with the person himself.

But, I agree that I prefer romance where the partner is nice and normal, like any staff. Kind of being mate with each other and always leaning.

In short, literature is full of chauvinism, violence, and idealism. Webnovel is no different, only it is even more difficult to read this type of content because it is very evident, almost glaring.

I pray to find a romance where the woman does not have to be humiliated and then find love.

Sometimes I think, that the authors create this kind of scenario: a Humiliated woman must achieve happiness with the man who did not even know she existed. Because readers or their target audience has no emotional development to accept that normal women (themselves) can have a decent romance with a "dream" man or a good man.

It is as if this hurt the readers because they think that they themselves cannot, then it is impossible that in the stories this happens, generating envy and not wanting to read the novel more ...

It is only "acceptable" for a woman or man to be happy if they are humbled to achieve that happiness. Because then it becomes easier to accept that this character can be happy, after all, he or she suffered much more than the readers themselves.

Of course, I still think this kind of reader has serious emotional issues. Or it is simply too much information. Or, worse yet, these readers have only had this kind of related, abusive and flawed.

Yes, I've been very far today.

Take_the_Moon I agree, that’s why I put “fun” in quotations because I myself don’t believe it to be. At least I don’t believe changing oneself for someone else is a good. If they’re in a bad state it makes sense, but like you said, this is so commonly found and is a somewhat contrived plot. Having strong, or at least not terrible weak, people come together is both oddly more original/uncommon in literature.
