I'm not sure this counts as a bug, and I don't know if it's actually an issue. However, I recall an official post saying that authors/translators only get paid when people unlock chapters using paid SS (ie: not the free daily SS, for obvious reasons). Also, free SS get used before paid SS get used since they expire. Hence, if some novel releases chapters shortly after the daily reset occurs, and a premium reader is reading multiple novels, it is quite likely that each day, his free daily SS is always used on the novel which releases chapters shortly after the daily reset, hence not getting paid for his work. In an extreme example, a paying reader would read 2 novels, and all of the SS that are worth money would go to a single novel, while the other would get entirely free SS. Of course, this probably wouldn't occur to this degree, but it's easy to see that novels which release chapters closer to the time after the daily reset would potentially be remunerated less compared to another novel even if they have the same amount of paying readers.
As I said before, I'm not sure if this is actually happening or not, but I just wanted to make sure that Webnovel is aware of this potential issue. Of course, releasing chapters shortly after the daily reset also has the benefit of people being more likely to give out power stones, but I think that's a separate issue altogether.
). Tbh, they should've worked on giving the unlock mechanism an option to choose paid or bonus ss rather than this auto-unlock option.
