So is it that the story or writing not good enough or Webnovel is not a good platform for short novels?

    Webnovel is designed for series. Especially the ones with higher release rate get a better response.

    Good work always gets appreciation but what you need to consider is how to give it exposure.
    So I will recommend you to compile your short stories into one book with each volume separating them(which even I don't like but will give more people to read it like a series.)
    (you don't have to delete the individual pages but just re-release them slowly as a compile)

    or recommend your short stories to your long series readers frequently.

    But the BEST WAY is to hire a bot army and throw a lot of power stones to get it higher in the ranking lol.

      Actually, I had another short story building up in my brain. I needed to let it out.
      I don't mind fewer ratings. I don't even expect them for a short novel.
      Can you please try one?
      I just need a single comment, you know one statement that it is funny, not silly.
      So that I can write another with a bit of confidence.
