Lady_Liah Cast aside the quantity. You have readers interested in your story by having it added to their collection right? So, that alone shows something of an achievement. I think you should be impressed with yourself actually. Also the fact you have 3M views is amazing. Stand on that rock instead, enjoy your spoils and achievements your writing has earned you
What is your collection to views ratio?
242k view to 1530 collection so 1: 159 ><
As of today 147k views and 1441 collections so about 1:100.6
My recent ratio is just 218:1.
Which means 1 out of 218 people add it to collection.
Well, both the views and collections have increased, so I don't have any complaints considering I don't update daily.

Just started exploring the forums yesterday and today, but I must say, this seems to be a very friendly and informative community! (This is my first post hehe)
Onto this discussion, it's really helpful as I've been wondering whether my views were good or not.
I thought I would just be a reader on Webnovel, but after seeing the Mage writing contest, I thought it wouldn't hurt to upload my story since it matched the theme. It's been four days now, and I'm at 2,261:1 views/collection. [counts just refreshed] I have a total of 11 chapters and 13k words.
Based on everyone else's ratio, this is rather bad! Even if I added myself to the collection for 2, it's still bad lol!
To be fair though, compared to other writing sites I've used, I was pleasantly surprised by how many views I received upon first upload with no 'publicizing'! I really appreciate the active, though somewhat silent at times, community here.
It makes me wonder, however, how are the views increasing if people don't have the book in their collection, and the story is no longer high up on the "new story" search? Scrolling dedication? lol. No seriously, I'm curious. Maybe it's because I'm new to this, but I can't fathom how.
I've got 61.7k views to 95 collections. This would work out to become a ratio of 650:1. While that may not be the best here, I'm just grateful that I'm about to reach my first 100 collections in the next week. The link to my novel is https://m.webnovel.com/book/12341871105298405
A very basic summary would be the main character, Baron Magellan, dies and is reincarnated (though it's actually just the afterlife) onto planet 4. Planet 4 is the planet where dead strategists are sent to, and the goal of Baron is to become the best strategist on this planet by winning the Death Match Tournament. Once he wins he will be able to get reincarnated back to when he was killed and into the arms of his lover. The way they prove their abilities to beat other strategists in simulations. Since this is the afterlife I will be bringing in a lot of historical military figures. The first book will mainly be about the Chinese community then the next book will be about some other community maybe the Greeks/Romans/Egyptians I haven't really de ided yet. Other than this there is basically no romance and is mainly about war and strategy. I'll take a look at a few original novels here and see if any of them are to my interest. Also I started my novel due to my love for the manga Kingdom by Yasuhisa Hara, so if you guys like war and strategy please check this one out too. Almost 600 chapters of awesomeness await you.

Let's all stick to posting the collections to views ratio over here rather than turning it into another promotional thread by posting the links and synopsis of your stories. There are many other threads where we are already shamelessly asking for review swap!
Veronica8 Today's closing figures are:
Zaldizko Ratio is 315:1
To My Sunflower Ratio is 343:1
Zaldizko Ratio is 237:1
I'm amazed at the difference being featured has given this one. Guess I better enjoy the fleeting moment XD
To My Sunflower Ratio is 353:1
Chryiss I haven't been here long enough to be an expert. From my own observation, I think it comes down to the number of times a person actually views your book page and all the other activity done to that page. It's very simplistic in that sense. Example is Person A clicks on book link to open page, page loaded = 1 view. They go in and out of chapters = more views. The more people view the book page, the higher the view count.
I could be completely wrong, but so far from what I've read and observed this seems to be the closet assumption.
Lady_Liah What do you don't understand in, this thread is not for that. You literally have half the diss spammed by random trash authors promoting their novels without even reading what was talked or discussed.
You could be fuckin Tolkien that it wouldn't matter about the fact that, your comment doesn't belong here. So go to the numerous "Review Swaps" / "Reviews Swaps be shameless" (the best one so far) / "Review swaps, Please read my retarded novel and give me attention". You can choose.
Great discussions fell down after dozens of posts only because one retard post a fuckin advertisement for his novel and soon the thread was flooded by more morons. As for whether or not you are actually a human being capable of reading and have feelings, I am not sorry for disregarding them.
Current novel 116 collections for 59 k views, damn that's bad, only 1:508 after 46 chapters daily updated.
Innovation I think it's because MishaK asked her what her novel is and she answered
Suddenly jumped from 700:1 to 260:1. Absolutely clueless why, but I'm running with very small numbers, so let's chalk it down to statistical variations. I guess I need to reach 100k views before any data starts to solidify.
And the bots strike again lol
Seems like that’s the case, counting every view regardless of time spent or unique id.
That makes me realize that sometimes when new chapters are updated, and I scroll to the next, it takes me to the last chapter instead, so I have to navigate back to where I left off. This happened a lot in murder the dream guy. So the system probably counts all of the chapters being passed over.

Innovation Okay first, did you read what MishaK asked me above? You are plain rude for jumping into conclusion without reading pass conversation when all you need to do is scroll up or do you want to insult amateur authors like me that wants to answer another person's question. I answered what she asked AFTER I replied to the thread's purpose correctly. IN FACT, she asked me because she was surprised about my 3M views answer. GET IT? SHE ASKED. Do I have to repeat it again, SHE ASKED.
I didn't want to post nor emphasize my book, to begin with. SOMEONE ASKED or do you need glasses with a prescription for you to not be a bastard and look that I REPLIED to someone. GOD, help me from people like you who don't allow people to respond to questions.
Are you having fun demoralizing people? Is that the best you can do with your life?
Next time, PLEASE look at the little arrow that signifies that someone replied and not jump to conclusion.
so that you can't accuse me of answering correctly
My first novel is 3.04 M with a 19,959 collection now about 150 ratio (WHICH I ANSWERED BEFORE MishaK asked me what novel it is which I then replied Lady_Liah , and that was the only thing you saw before deciding to be an ass Innovation about it.)
My second novel with one chapter is 4.5K with 1,907 collections
Thank you for comparing me to Tolkien. I love his books. AND I WASN'T asking for reviews my GOD, SOMEONE FUCKING ASKED THE TITLE OF MY NOVEL. And I don't need to advertise my novel; you can see it on the top ranking for the originals, which I honestly don't know why I qualified because I KNOW I AM NOT THE BEST WRITER and I've read better books than mine. Fuck, you make me lose my calmness. The fact that this misunderstanding would not happen had you scrolled up to read past convo, just irritates me further.
We are both idiots here. You for jumping into conclusion, and me for stooping to your level to reply this long but damn you need to learn how to read and understand conversations. If you see a little arrow that signifies I replied to someone, please look at why, where, how, what, and who, if need be.
Love you and your precious attitude. You are the best kind of people that makes me what to bang my head in the wall. AGAIN, SOMEONE ASKED ME and I REPLIED. Can I not reply if the person who asked was in here then where should I respond? Here, hover your mouse at the arrow with MishaK's username so you'll see her question. THANK YOU.
NEXT TIME CAN YOU READ ALL THE CONVERSATION SO YOU WILL NOT MISUNDERSTAND? PLEASE
Have a good day!
As for whether I am human or not, NO. I am a fucking robot that doesn't have feelings. Robots like me at least understand that a human like you would rather disregard people's feelings just so they can be right.
Hugs and kisses to you so it may brighten your attitude. I need to sprinkle rainbows and butterflies, then hire unicorns to cheers your sour ass up. ANYBODY knows some unicorn for hire?
MishaK It’s for Iamac
