You all have fantastic numbers. I'm running with some 22k views and below 30 collections. 700:1 or something like that I guess.

Depends on the duration and chapters you have published.
I would say that the front page crowd and the crowd that sifts through all the novels are entirely different beasts. Until you are able to access both, you will not be able to get an accurate picture on how good your novel potentially is.

I won't say the exact details of mine, but if I calculate my ratio by dividing my 3M views to the collection count...
I get only 164. lol I feel bad and disappointed at myself now.

Lady_Liah Cast aside the quantity. You have readers interested in your story by having it added to their collection right? So, that alone shows something of an achievement. I think you should be impressed with yourself actually. Also the fact you have 3M views is amazing. Stand on that rock instead, enjoy your spoils and achievements your writing has earned you :grin:

My recent ratio is just 218:1.
Which means 1 out of 218 people add it to collection.
Well, both the views and collections have increased, so I don't have any complaints considering I don't update daily.

Just started exploring the forums yesterday and today, but I must say, this seems to be a very friendly and informative community! (This is my first post hehe)
Onto this discussion, it's really helpful as I've been wondering whether my views were good or not.
I thought I would just be a reader on Webnovel, but after seeing the Mage writing contest, I thought it wouldn't hurt to upload my story since it matched the theme. It's been four days now, and I'm at 2,261:1 views/collection. [counts just refreshed] I have a total of 11 chapters and 13k words.
Based on everyone else's ratio, this is rather bad! Even if I added myself to the collection for 2, it's still bad lol!
To be fair though, compared to other writing sites I've used, I was pleasantly surprised by how many views I received upon first upload with no 'publicizing'! I really appreciate the active, though somewhat silent at times, community here.
It makes me wonder, however, how are the views increasing if people don't have the book in their collection, and the story is no longer high up on the "new story" search? Scrolling dedication? lol. No seriously, I'm curious. Maybe it's because I'm new to this, but I can't fathom how.
