well, they changed the invite friends structure too
now they need to install the app and use a redeem code to receive the SS

Most likely they have decreased the probability of you receiving a higher amount than 9SS.
I have not had this problem, I got 20SS and some exp yesterday. However, I have seen post from other users of Webnovel getting most of the time 9SS as a maximum.
On a similar note, if you use SS to unlock chapters they do not use the oldest SS(that will expire) instead they have made it so that it uses the newest(most recently received free SS).
These changes are because the company wants to increase the profitability of their business. They do this to entice you to buy SS.

i got no ss in daily check in.. and only gotten exp.. so sad. i might drop webnovel in the future.. it seems i will wait for the books to be released rather than read it here.. paying for ss is more expensive than reading the book itself
