I reccomend getting a gaming group together for D&D once a month being a GM is great for stirring the imagination. Have to come up with suitable consequences for players that won't stick to path because they drag ass in a town or they have figured out how to make a character that is too OP.
One session I was playing the GM had a player we all hated and wanted gone from the table. The player had his character go off in the woods alone. That character got gang banged by a group of spriggans and failed his saves to stop his bleed rectum poor guy died alone in the woods without any other characters even knowing what happened. The player left our table never to return.
