Anyone else getting hate reviews? I got a1 star on a brand new novel of mine because it was "not realistic." The title made it clear it's fiction, and in fiction what restrictions are there? No limits people! Ugh people tire me out sometimes...

Ellendria In fiction, although there are no limits, there are certain things that add value and depth to the story, such as realistic characters or events. If a fictional story was completely unrealistic, and the reader could not relate at all to anything or see anything happen, then it takes away from the enjoyment of reading the story. Therefore, all good fictional stories stem from or hold some realistic aspects. That's just what makes up good writing.

You should understand that not everyone in the world is going to enjoy your novel. That's just the internet. That's just life.

Why don't you question those who say "OMG YOUR NOVEL IS SO GOOD 5 STARS!!!!!"? Same concept. It's rather "random" by your definition if someone saying that your novel is unrealistic so they give such a review.
