It is equally not going to achieve much. So there is an argument for not stooping to it and showing support for other authors.

taro2190 Nah, it's pretty common. Personally, it feels weird to me, so I stopped doing it after trying it out the first time. Just like StenDuring, it's more fun to vote for others. As veinglory said, my few stones don't do much in getting up there in the rankings. And lastly as veronicapurcell said, I enjoy getting more in other readership statistics, that includes powerstones from others not myself. XD

But, I did start noticing possibly in the last two contests, that self votes might count somewhat toward the PS contest rankings. And even if it doesn't (never got an official answer for this), self votes might help boost rankings considering you're getting a decent amount from others already.

I did that at first because no one was reading my novel. Giving myself that added pat in the back just to see a number rather than a huge 0 .. heh. Even got a couple of friends to vote.

Stopped after getting real readers and votes. I prefer seeing the top 3 vote spots to be from my readers rather than myself. Now, I prefer to show support to other authors - I don't even vote for translated novels anymore. We don't have that many to spare each day anyway.

In the end, I guess it's really your own personal choice. Doesn't harm anyone.

I did it too! When no one was voting in the beginning, then I thought why can't I vote myself if there is no restriction? But I got tired of it and stopped after one week! xD
I know this is not the place to ask but can a novel be deleted? I am trying to delete my second novel but there is no option! T_T

Not sure if this was an official view or just verbatim hand-me-down askew whispers on discord. I thought in the last comp I saw some stories rank with author powerstone # added to the tally. Who knows.

Chryiss No option? That's a bit shocking since it should not be like compulsory to have a delete option on such a big platform? They should add this important option!

blankkarma You get 2-3 powerstones a day when you login and depending on what your level is. You can learn more about level benefits in your account tab where it says ‘My Levels.’ Also, sometimes Daily Check-in rewards give PS instead of SS or exp.

taro2190 I think what I did is much more shameless. Not only I voted to my own story, I also used my mother and my sister's account as well as creating several accounts to vote for it. And then, ai realize that its not that fun knowing that it's you and not the readers, so I stopped doing that.

P. S But sometimes I still vote on it when I feel that my skin is thick on that day.
