It would've been better if the SS you get from gifts and premium chapters is directly transferred to your user account where half of it is divided between the Author and the company e.g let's say you earned 1000 SS(Purchased) from gifts and from premium chapters. 500 SS would go to the Author while the other half is for the Webnovel company.

And that 500 SS that you got can either be use by the Author for reading his favorite novels or withdraw and convert it into real cash, transferred directly into the Author's bank account.

    You can't convert Spirit Stones into Cash, But you can do it inversely (Buying). Based on Article 4 “Payment Terms” of the page Terms Of Service, Spirit Stones that are bought are non-refundable. So, It's better to have a cash then. Money can be used for a myriad of things, While Spirit Stones is only applicable to this particular application (Webnovel). Hence, if you compare their variety of applications, Money is the winner and Spirit Stones would pale in comparison to the former. Your idea is not bad, But simply not universal. You can't benefit from your business if your salary is only Spirit Stones, While with money, you can buy food, appliances that you need, or anything that are below the author's wages.
