So basically what I want to know is if you can write whole chapters without publishing them.
I'm new to the platform and haven't seen how to do so, if you're able to at all.

Yup, you can. There's an option if you want to just save it or publish.

Just write a new chapter. You can stock up as many chapters as you want. Just be careful that when you publish them you do it chronologically. You have the option to set a timer for when you want to publish your chapters. It could help if you want to publish them in the order you want...
PinkCotton Thanks, I figured it out. Do you know I could re-arrange the order of chapters?
Fuchxia I'm not sure, but you can do it as you publish them... I haven't tried shuffling them on inkstone before
PinkCotton I guess i'll have to make another thread on it, thanks anyway bud.
Fuchxia you can use the publish schedule feature. This option will allow automation to publishing your drafts. It can get tricky if you set lots in one go, since the dashboard doesn't tell you the schedule publish date. If you loose track, need to go into each post to double check.
The other option is to save to draft. You do this by saving then exiting via the left arrow top of the chapter. The post will be listed in the draft section. When you're ready, manually publish by going back in and publishing as per usual.
I've started one here that covers on setting a schedule: https://forum.webnovel.com/d/25711-how-do-i-release-stockpiled-chapters-on-schedule-in-inkstone
Will add steps on manual releases to it shortly.
