For the Newbie Guide.

To make Volumes. When you open your book in Inkstone:

  • Click the [Published] tab up the top to see all your published chapters.
  • Look bottom-left of this page to see the [+New Volume] button and click it.
  • Type in a "Volume Name" that will show on the book page.
  • Entering a description is optional and for your own benefit. You can leave it blank if you don't need anything here. It's not viewed by the reader.
  • Click the [Create] button and your done.

To change the Volume name or delete:

  • On the Published page, click the [Edit] button at the end of the "Volume" name.
  • The pop up box that you used when creating the volume name will appear. Change the name and click [Save]

To delete volume name:

  • Click the Delete button next to the Edit button at the end of the "Volume" name.
  • Click [Yes] on the prompt box. The volume is deleted.

To add a chapter to the volume.

  • When you go to create a chapter, look top-left of that page to see the "Volume" number. It will default to your latest creation. If you want this, just leave as is.

  • If you want to change, click on the "Volume" number to select from the Volume list and click the one the chapter belongs to.

Thank you for explaining this! Am I right in understanding that "Volumes" are like adding books to the series after the original story? So, if my first volume has 56 chapter, and I add another volume that has another 56, they will both show up for the reader as one story under this cover and title? But will be marked as different volumes within it?
