I love reading the story hear and one of the things that I do is highlight words I do not know the meaning of and google search to get the definition of the word. However, it would seem I can no longer do that. On top of that authors sometime provide links that you would need to highlight when they want the readers to better understand what they are describing in their stories, but for some strange reason I am unable to do that anymore.

dragonplague I guess they implemented copy protection to stop aggregator sites from copying from the site, but ofc we all know that is a pipe dream as anything you can see on the screen can be copied from source and no ammount of protection will be able to stop it, so this moronic idea of theirs only works to make everything less convenient for us normal readers while the real pirates just laugh their ass off. That is why you don't see copy protection in 99.99% of the sites you can find, because they aren't run by morons and know that it only works to inconvenience their normal users. In short, Webnovel IT is run by morons who only work to make the site less and less convenient for us normal users...

dragonplague lol i also am used to googling words meaning and clicking links for twitter and other websites where their novel is hosted, i use a plugin called allow copy in chrome and i just have to enable it and it allows to select words normally
never thought webnovel will implement this 'feature' i always use this plugin for fanfiction.net as they don't allow copying of anything
