  • Privilege purchase took my stones and did not give me new chapters

I bought the previlege once before and was able to enjoy advance chapters to the most recent one. Then one fine day, I got a notification for 1 chapter unread, thus as usual I clicked to read it but soon found out it’s under privilege purchase AGAIN. The minimum possible advance chapters is 5, and because I only have 1 unread chapters I waited until I have atleast 4 chapters unread before I buy them with 500 spirits stones. However, after spending those stones, I DID NOT get any new chapters, just the old ones under the privilege purchase that I bought the first time. It further asked me that if I want to read further chapters I need to “upgrade”, but before I can read further than the chapters I already read I must upgrade 2 MORE TIMES, each time with more stones to spend. WHY MUST I BUY THE CHAPTERS I READ ALL OVER AGAIN??? (Book: Great Doctor Ling Ran). I have already deleted the book from my library and is feeling saddened by it. Never wanted to quit this book, but it just took 500 stones without any new chapters. A scam. I hope this is not the author/translator’s fault. Webnovel, you will lose everything if you are too greedy.

      Iridescent_Bubble I used to read translated novels from here but I don't anymore. I feel like its a waste of my hard earned money and they are trying to rip me off. Max number of stones you can accumulate from daily over a period of time runs between 350-400 ss and they expire. I gave up on this site like 2 years ago when they implicated locked chapters. It's a cash cow for them so why stop. I'm hoping this privilege garbage lights them on fire tbh. China's way of running business works for them but the rest of the work, I don't think so.

        Me too the same thing happened. This really annoying. Why do we have to pay for the same damn chapter we already purchased before? Please answer this question. It’s bad enough we have to purchase privilege every month.

        danisian Im sorry but all i could do was LOL at the fact that he is paying 500 ss for 5 chapters plus the SS to read the chapters. LOL. that is like 110 SS per chapter. That is nuts.

            The way it work is like this..
            Please do remember that privilege chapter have its own expired date..
            So you need to buy it again to read the priv chapter..
            For exp :
            Novel A have 50 advance chapter that you can buy..
            And you decided to buy that 50 chapter..
            Then you can read 50 advance chapter + when they add new regular chapter..
            For exp :
            regular = chapter 100..
            Priv = 150..
            Next day..
            Regular = chapter 101..
            Priv = 151..
            Thats the chapter that you can read..

            Then next day your priv time is end..
            You end up only can read the regular one..
            And if you want to read the next chapter..
            Regular chapter 102..
            Priv chapter 152..
            You cant read chapter 152.. because your prev time is end..
            In order to read that.. you need to buy another 50 priv chapter again..
            Or wait until the regular chapter reach there..

                The fact that there is expire date for something you have paid in itself is stupid, so I don’t buy the explanation to how the premium thing works, because it is working wrongly in the first place. It’s working in a way that you will have to keep paying for the chapters you have read, a scam.
