I will link this post everytime I have the urge to explain this same topic, I figure I put it all down and then link it so that way I will be "less aggressive" in sending this exact same message, since I will literally be sending this exact same message!

  1. This whole thing just baffles me, you got some who say "I don't care whats going on as long as I get to read" and just ride the wave. Then you got some who say "Well this ain't worth paying for" like me and some who say "I don't think it's right to have a paywall" and just against the whole idea. At the end of the day it all seems to come down to those who care about quality and those who do not. I end up being more worried about the authenticity of some of the previous responses I have gotten from TL/ED's that you cannot just pick people up off the street to do TL/ED. So I'm not sure how money will be a solution if the problem was that TL/ED were scarce, when I suggested training for people they acted like it was repulsive so I am very confused at this moment how the money will make the quality go up, or when exactly we will see that difference.

  2. I do not know enough to do deep dive conversations about these things. I'm only a little upset that they introduced this premium thing, BEFORE they let the "buy spirit stones" thing sink in and actually use that new found revenue to increase the quality of these novels, to THEN introduce the premium option because the quality increased so the stakes would be higher. I think the course of how fast they changed their ways without making any other changes is what makes me a little upset because I feel as though if you are premium user you are then telling qidian "Yes, I will pay for any old thing". The changes made from the time they announced paid spirit stones to the other day when they announced premium there is literally NO CHANGES MADE to make me even believe premium is anything different than what a free user gets and there was a post I read on forums that TL/ED basically confirms that no actions have been put in place YET, to make the quality go up.

  3. My problem is the way Qidian conducts business is way too unprofessional(they have so many consipracy theories, false information and rumors around them because they conduct themselves poorly) for me to ever want to pay for anything. I see people just letting qidian do all of this and it makes me upset that I am surrounded by people who literally do not care as long as they get their novel fix. It's like qidian has become their pimp or drug dealer, and they just enable qidian to do anything it wants. I have been called triggered, heated, and aggressive for having this view but I don't mean to be aggressive. I am frustrated that no one except Luta has even mentioned this aspect, everyone is all "OH MY NOVEL" and I'm like shaking my head like "Really that's what is worrying to you about this?"

  4. I never really worry for a translator or author because that is a job choice they made and they have to stand up for themselves, they need to have their own professional security. I am not in that line of work and do not know the struggles and nor the job description so I don't comment on it that much especially since so many out there are touchy about it. I believe they will take care of themselves like the big boys they are, they know whats fair and what isn't they do not need little me to protest for them. The community of readers however, I'm not so sure, they can be so disorganized and qidian doesn't make it easy to be organized considering they don't even have a good forum notification system, or PMs for forums. So the only way to get a message across these days seems to be spamming and repeatedly mentioning the same thing until someone notices.

AGAIN I AM NOT PURPOSELY BEGIN NEGATIVE, AGGRESSIVE, TRIGGERED, OR HEATED I AM SIMPLY PUTTING MY MIND OUT THERE TO PEOPLE SO MAYBE THEY THINK A LITTLE MORE DEEPLY
