What is the deal with all the ads during reading a story? I have an ad pop up every 5-7 pages that I read. Is this the new normal or is there a way to pay to remove the ads?

I got the same problem after the latest update it's annoying how it keeps popping out every few pages while reading.
They already had premium and privilege. Now they shove ads down our throats. The greed of WebNovel really is insatiable.
It's gotten ridiculous how they are trying to come up with me annoying ways to get more money. If they aren't careful they will drive away more of there readers. At least I have found that I can hit the back button on my Android and it will skip most of the ads.
Normal thing after the update, personally I haven't seen an ad pop up yet though.
As for the feature of removing them, I don't think so?
SinB I might be seeing more ads than usual because almost all the stories I read on here are free without any SS needed.

TooLongDidntRead I'm still getting tons of ads. I even have an ad blocker and reinstalled the webnovel app with no changes. I doubt it will change unless they push through another update.
What's even more fun is those minigame ads that do progress faster if you interact with them, but they seriously mess with the flow of my reading.
You may have noticed that the new update included add every 5 pages of a chapter. This can be removed by reverting your webnovel app from its current update of 4.0.2 back down to any earlier verison of the app. So uninstall the app, turn off auto updating for apps, download a earlier version. And congrats ur ad free.
