The current searching tools are so bad that it makes me speechless. You can only search for author and novel name. Not to mention do a detailed search. As for genres you can only look by 1 type and not a mix. Same with tags. You cannot search by multiple tags.....
As for sorting and filtering? Nothing. When searching in fantasy for example it will throw out novels without no order at all.... many times i want to remove novels with no update in the last month since those were dropped already....
The one who is responsible for the site should get fired and replaced

Add ways to search detailed stuff.... having a page his big and only being able to search by name, 1 genre or tag and sort them by popular or new... with all the money you guys are getting, not upgrading your site its distasteful

It would also be good to be able to add to order the novels by the number of chapters that a novel has and also to be able to order them from when the novel is last updated

Add to that that you can exclude novels that havent been updated in a month or more... Almost all novels in the original have been dropped.
It's so bad, I don't even try to use the search function on this site anymore. I rely on Novel Updates instead. The reviews and ratings are much more accurate there, too.

no, there's an explore function in the app & a genre filter function in the desktop. they both work pretty well & are in very clear sections.

again, no. there is a clear order to how they are sorted. by default, it's through popularity in the explore/genre section. you then have the choice of choosing recommendation, collection, rates, and updates to see how you want to rank them. want to see what's not dropped? click updates. it's that simple. you can also place filters on things by just clicking the filter section. there, you can choose chapter amount, translation or original, and ongoing or completed.

yes, you can already do that, as explained above.
the only valid complaint I see in your post is that you cannot select multiple genres/tags, but that's b/c novels cannot choose multiple genres in the first place. as for tags, I can see how that can be a problem, but it's not a difficult problem at all... just choose the tag you like most and scroll through? you can see what other tags the novels that share the same tag fall under too before you decide what to read. it's not like you're super super inconvenienced just because you can't search for more than one tag at a time.
webnovel has already done a lot to improve the categorizing function of the site (and though I do have problems with it myself), it's definitely not as bad as you make it. it seems like you either don't know how to navigate the platform or are not completely updated on the app?
