Flabbergasted
I've not tried getting an editor before. So, I am not sure 'bout the necessary Infos. As far as I know, editors and translators have to sign up separately with Qidian International. If you can help me with further rules, I will be grateful.
Thank you

You've got to put details like your Gmail account or discord number or even your Wechat id.You also need to specify the amount that you are going to be paying the editor. All the these informations are the basic information you should include when searching for an editor.

Thanks for reaching out to me. But the fact is that I'm just an ordinary high school girl. So, I'm not sure of the pay thing. Moreover, I'm not that bad with English myself. But, I'll be glad if you proofread point out some mistakes here and there. If you want to be a permanent editor you can apply form provided by Webnovel and they can reach out to you!!

        Be sure to reply back

Shining_girl Are you good with English, though? You butchered that paragraph, after all.

How do you struggle with spaces, at the very minimum?

I normally don't critique posts on this forum, since I don't want to be seen as snobby... but since you're offering to edit and proofread for people I figured I'd point it out.

Your prior post was riddled with errors, mostly basic and simple ones, too.

            "Hello,

Starters... where are your spaces? You do realize you need to have a space after the end of a sentence, right? I would trust my editor to know this. If you admitted to being new and still learning I'd excuse it, but you clearly state that you're "very good with English".

            Maybe change it or fix it up like this;

"Greetings, forgive my forwardness, but are you in need of an editor? If so, perhaps I can be of service to you. I pride myself on my top of the line grammar comprehension and can help provide you with excellent proofreading and editing for any English projects. If you're willing to give me a chance, I'm sure we can come to some form of agreement on price-per-word edits, and I'm highly willing to negotiate so we may both reach a satisfactory arrangement.

If you'd like an example of my work, please send me an email at (insert email here). I look forward to your business and in helping make your story the best it can be."

There, I threw that together in about five minutes. Not my best work, but it works as an example. Definitely super vague and shallow, though. You'd need more content in order to attract paying applicants.

Again I wouldn't critique your post like this but you are offering your services to people, so I figured you should probably be able to present your own abilities in your post. Also Grammarly scored me at 99, which is hilariously one of my highest scores thus far.

I don't mean to cause trouble, I'm just curious why the editor can't proofread their own posts... and even more so why the editor didn't see anything wrong with what you posted. Seemed a bit... I don't know... low quality. Keep working at it, though.

An editor/proofreader is supposed to notice and correct basic mistakes like missing spaces, after all. If you can't catch them in your own writing, I'd be worried for anyone you edited for professionally. These stories mean a lot to people, and they'd want top of the line editing and corrections made. They'd expect you to catch those errors.

JVenior I am good with English too. My highest score in Grammarly has been 99. But sometimes, it is less. That's why I was looking for an editor.
Anyways, that was great of you!

Can you become my editor? I'm writing a new novel right now and my readers keep advising me to hire an editor, I also personally think I need an editor too, so will you become my editor?
