I just had a sound review deleted because I critisized too much
Same here i wrote a rewiev with rating of 3.4 stars about dual cultivation and author deleted it.... i think it is soo wrobg to let authors delete rewievs cause thay just leave good reviews but delete all bad reviews....

the problem is that reviews which are lower than 4 stars and contain sound criticism get deleted either by the author or wn. so why bother making a real review anymore.

Yeah. It's not ideal, but it is what it is.
Yet I'm still surprised at why quality constructive reviews are deleted.
Someone's taken the time to actually either read the story and give an opinion on it, or give an opinion on their visit and first impressions.
Personally, as an author I don't feel I have the right to take those kinds away. It's not fair for potential readers too.
Don't authors realize the turn off in having one sided feedback?
The rating is not important to me as the verbatim. Although, I guess it should be since I'm contracted to write a story here.

It's a different story if a person told me to f'off and go die regardless of rating. Or they're haters propaganding their shit. Any other kinds of rudeness and subjective abuse. Abuse is abuse and sure as hell I'll delete those reviews after reporting it.

There is only one way to get this fixed.
Write Webnovel a polite statement that no one should be able to delete their own reviews and comments. It always has to be monitored by a third party.
If that does not help. Review the App itself bad for exactly that issue (they can not take down google/apple reviews).
If that still does not help, write Google/Apple that the maker of this app is actively going against free speech and freedom of press.
I am currently at the last step...Webnovel said this in an E-Mail to me "The writers have the right to delete the comments of their works. After consultation with our legal staff, there is no fraud in this behavior, so no functional adjustments will be made for the time being. Thank you for your cooperation."
As it stands, I am only using free stones and encourage all writers with good storys that they should move to patreon :D

People use this platform however they see fit, so there's of course people that only care about making the quick buck by inflating their rating.
Personally, I'm using this site because it's just easier for me to get feedback. I could care less what rating I get, so I've never deleted any reviews. Don't care about money either, so WN can take the rejection I just sent them for contracting my novel.
That's how I use this platform.
