I'm really confused there no gift sign anyone know how to gift like lolipops and stuff

    OJROMANCE

Bonus points for being the most unasked for and attention-seeking book share I've seen in months.

That certainly is one way of telling people not to gift your work.

      OJROMANCE

They werent asking for recommendations or books to gift, or even examples for books that are contracted. You just inserted your book into a conversation where it was neither asked for nor even the topic at hand.

The fact that this isnt immediately obvious to you is fascinating to me.

OJROMANCE Uh...then why post the link to your book? BlazeNirvarna was asking how to gift a story, presumably because he/she wanted to gift his/her favorite author something as a show of appreciation for his/her story.

After Lin Xiao Long explained that only contracted works can receive gifts, you came in with "like mine" with a link and a picture of your story. Perhaps you didn't intend it, but most people will interpret that kind of post as "Gift mine instead of the author you originally wanted to gift!" That's a little rude. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and believe if you say you never intended that, but honestly, that's not how people are going to see it. I certainly am not going to post a link to my story randomly when nobody asked for it because it will make me seem obnoxious and desperate, for example, and I will just end up annoying people instead of getting them to read anything.

OJROMANCE In case you don't know, non bought coins with real money ain't giving me nothing.

Say what? Okay, I'm going to assume you didn't mean it, but that can come across as you basically complaining about those readers who gave you balloon or potion gifts as giving you nothing because they aren't bought with real money. Personally, I appreciate all gifts, even if they are not money, because I see it as a token of appreciation or my readers telling me that they love my work, and I think it's rude of you to complain that you get nothing just because it's not money.

If that's not what you mean, then perhaps you might want to slow down, read what you have typed before you click on Post Reply, because so many of your posts come across as pretty rude. I don't mean to offend you, so I apologize. I'll be honest - I'm a pretty rude and blunt guy myself, and I have offended a lot of people. Even so, is English your second language? I know you're from Nigeria, so I'm guessing that you speak Hausa or Yoruba more than English. Perhaps that may explain why you aren't able to get your points across without sounding...brash.

OJROMANCE I suspect you didn't read anything I said. I already explained exactly what was wrong with your reply, and you still ask me,

OJROMANCE What's wrong with my reply.

If that's the case, there's no use explaining anything to you because you clearly can't be bothered to read what I wrote. Continue posting however you like, but as I warned above, you're going to get misunderstood even if that's not your intention.

I take it that English is not your first language?

OJROMANCE If you really think that, then the problem is a lot deeper than I think.

OJROMANCE ...I mean no offense, but you really do sound like an English Second Language speaker, and you are still unaware of the naunces of the language and how your expression can come across as totally different from how you intended it.

You say you listen to constructive criticism, but then you completely ignore my explanations as to how your sentences can be construed as pretty rude and instrusive to a native English speaker. I don't know what to say, but unlike you, I don't intend to laugh at you. I sympathize with you, really. No one is insulting you, and you accuse us of cyber-bullying. I've been cyber-bullied, where people actually tell me to kill myself, or insult me and call me names. I haven't seen anyone call you anything here, not even Clowniac. If you think calling out rude behavior is cyber-bullying, well...then it reinforces what Gem4Life said about you being completely unable to accept criticism.

By the way, it's "laughing my ass off at some people in this site" - laughter is a noun, laughing is the continuous tense of a verb. You're using the word wrong.
