yes... why do you care so much about what people are reading??
Do female readers read something other than romantic novels?
- Edited
Yes, of course. Some female readers even dislike the romance genre and only read books of the other genres.
Nonetheless, the ratio of the female readers who read non-romance genres and would vote for those novels is still lower than the female readers who read and vote for romance novels. Hence the current power ranking standing.
Lilliny lmao, as usual, our sassy princess Lilliny ;)
I am currently writing a male lead reincarnation fantasy story that happens to contain a harem (but not in the way you're thinking) and a decent amount of violence.
A large swathe of my readers are women. In fact, less than 1 in 4 of my readers are specifically declared to be male.
I will put this to you- why do you automatically assume men aren't reading romance novels? Or automatically assume women will gravitate to romance books and not towards other kinds of titles? Good writing is good writing, and will appeal to all types of people.
Consider re-examining some of your core assumptions, friend.
What makes you think they don't?
Oh, everyone beat me to it.
Statistic is more woman in the world than man, so this make sense to you comment, but besides no every woman like romantic novels someone's like horror, historic and comics examples like me.
I have 30% female readers (and 30% unknown) on a novel where someone gets snapped in half "as a man might snap a wishbone", so the answer is yes, but only VERY cool ones.

Don't you need one more for a full team? And I always thought the silver one was the extra, mystery 6th one.
Oh yaoyueyi answered it...
MisterImmortal no, there are no females who read genres other than romance. if we read something that's not romance, we promptly explode and perish. boom
Ah a sudden dose of sexism
