Twentieth Thought: Meeting Elementary School Classmates on the Streets
I was that memorable kid who always got in trouble with teachers during grades 7 and 8. Up until those years, I was the quite kid who acted dumb although she was dumb. Anyway, years have passed, but I still see my former peers on the streets or in malls. They always start screaming as if they were my friends back then and I always see them with my current friends. Once, it went like this...
Current Friend(s): Talks
Me: Freezes, fish eyes staring at something in the distance
Current Friend(s): Ah, are you being weird again?
Me: Yes! Of course...
Person from Elementary school: Looks my way, holds up hand AHHHHHH, hey....My name usually goes here.
Me: Me no spek engrish!
Current Friend(s): Yes you do...
Me: glares mE nO SpeAk ENGRISH!
Person from Elementary school: Clearly weirded out Uh, sorry. I thought you were someone I know. Imma walk away now
Me: Smiles sweetly JeS, HavE a BonJoUr DaTe
Yeah, I don't hate my former peers, I just rather not speak or see them. Being awkward with people I don't know personally does not help.
